Terms of Service

We are Violin Vistas (“we”, “us”). Questions? Email hello@violinvistas.com.

• You can sign up with an email and password, or with Google.
• Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Give us accurate information, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
• Younger students: a parent or guardian over 18 holds and pays for the account. A child under 13 uses the parent's or guardian's account.

• Membership costs $20 per month and gives you access to the full video library.
• It is billed monthly, automatically, until you cancel. Payment is handled by Stripe.
• You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. After you cancel you keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for, and you are not billed again.
• If the price changes, we will tell you before your next bill, and the new price applies only if you stay.
• Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.

• Lessons are optional, are separate from membership, and are $30 for 30 minutes or $60 for one hour.
• Lessons are booked through our scheduling tool and paid in advance.
• You can reschedule up to 72 hours (3 days) before your lesson. Lessons you cancel with less notice are not refunded; a lesson your teacher cancels is always refunded in full. Details are in our Refund Policy.

• The videos, music scores and other content are owned by us and our teachers. Membership gives you a personal, non-transferable license to watch them for your own learning.
• Please do not download, copy, record, share, resell or re-post the videos, and do not share your login with others.
• We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Members may be able to upload a video of themselves playing so a teacher can give feedback. If you do:

• You keep ownership of your video.
• You give us permission to store it and show it to our teachers so we can give you feedback.
• We will not publish it or use it in marketing without asking you first.
• Only upload videos you are allowed to share, and only of yourself or someone whose guardian has agreed.

We do our best to teach well, but we cannot promise any particular level of skill or progress. Practice is up to you. Please take care of your body when you play, and stop if something hurts.

The companion book, Starting Your Violin Journey, is sold separately by its publisher. These terms cover this website only.

• We aim to keep the site running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and videos or features may change or be removed.
• We may update these terms. If the change is important, we will notify you by email or on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

The site and its content are provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have by law.
